You can take part in the new Monett Area YMCA! A new facility is needed to serve the growing needs of our Monett community. We've been fortunate to have so many families, youths, teens, seniors, and individuals take advantage of the facilities and programs offered at the current YMCA that the building and its resources are severely over-stressed. The current Monett Y has as many members check in every day as other facilities three times its size! There is no room to expand at the current location, where the building leaks heavily, has no insulation, and is in need of major repairs to its brick, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, and heating systems. In addition, there is frequently a lack of available parking, and much of the current building is not handicapped accessible.

The planned new YMCA facility would provide a spacious and practical space with plenty of parking and the resource most frequently requested by Monett Area residents—an indoor pool. The additional space would provide for a larger and more comprehensive wellness area, and the current child care and youth care programs would be able to expand substantially. More Arts & Humanities programs would be available so that more members could take part in offerings such as art classes, drama classes, and music lessons.

A continued strong and vibrant YMCA will help to energize economic and business development of the community by bringing in youth, adults, families, and seniors.
